With proceeds from the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour Championship Golf Gives Back is giving $225,000 to Building Blocks of Southwestern Indiana. The Welborn Foundation is matching $50,000 of that gift to make the total donation $275,000.

The purpose of the gift is for resources to support Pre-K education for at risk children. The donation is funded by tournament proceeds from the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance. On hand at the news conference was Jack Pate, Chairman, Golf Gives Back, Inc., Ron Romain, CEO, United Companies, Aleisha Sheridan, CEO, Building Blocks.

In 2018 Golf Gives Back awarded a $50,000 grant to Easterseals for their Milestones Early Childcare and Education program and the “Golf Gives Back” Arts Studio. In 2019 Golf Gives Back presented another $50,000 grant to Community One and the Tepe Park Neighborhood Association for resources and renovations to the Tepe Park Clubhouse. In 2020 a $25,000 grant was given to the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville to support a new bullying prevention program.  In 2021, Golf Give Back presented a $50,000 grant to Building Blocks.  In 2022 Building Blocks received a $50,000 grant from Golf Gives back and an additional $50,000 grant from the Welborn Foundation.

Building Blocks (formerly 4C) is a nonprofit serving 28 counties in Southern Indiana. More than forty years ago, 4C started out as a true grassroots organization with a few local childcare directors and preschool teachers meeting to network and share information about childcare. 4C was incorporated in 1969. In the late 1990s, research about brain development in children identified issues around childcare as national priorities. 4C hired its first paid employees and the organization began to grow.The 2023 Korn Ferry TOUR Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance will take place October 5-8 at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Indiana.  The previous eleven United Leasing & Finance Championships and United Leasing & Finance presents Korn Ferry Tour Championship have generated over 2.4 million dollars in donations to local charities
